We all know how to use the Format Painter in MS Excel in order to drag formatting from one cell to cells in the vicinity. The Paste formatting feature in Excel also allows pasting formatting from a series of cells into another series of cells which are not necessarily contiguous. Here are the steps for creating the Paste Formatting feature in the ribbon: STEP 1] Go to File >Options STEP 2] Go to "Quick Access Toolbar". And select "Commands NOT in the Ribbon" STEP 3] Add "Paste Formatting" to the "Quick Access Toolbar" as so. And Click on "OK" you will notice that the Paste Formatting Symbol is now visible on the ribbon. Now I will Paste the format of cells B6:B9 to cells the E6:E9 range. Here is how this is done: STEP 1] Select the range (or any particular cell in the range) and click on CTRL+C STEP 2] Select the range that you would like the formatting to be applied to. STEP 3] Click on the Paste Formatting symbol as demonstrated above. Done!
