Getting the maximum values in one column based on unique values in another column

Consider the sample data set below:

I want to calculate the maximum # of resolved incident for each Agent. First I insert the unique agent names in one of the columns. This array formula will enable me to return the maximum # of resolved incident for each unique agent:

{=MAX(IF($B$1:$B$13=F2,$C$1:$C$13))}

Remember to push “CTRL+Shift+Enter” in order to insert the {} in the formula (don’t try typing it in, it won’t work)
